The object of the polytechnic workshops – Sféra levitates above the Gallery GAMPA . We left a gap between the two with a view to the surroundings so that the large mass of the new building does not act as a barrier. Gampa, which is located in the lower part, is more connected to the public space.

Conceived as a discrete extension to the Rubenshuis – the house, studio and garden of Peter Paul Rubens – the new reception building is positioned on the side and not willing to interfere in Rubens’ famous lines of sight. The 2025 renovation project of the Pavilion 13 in Kyiv, Ukraine, sustains the originally designed international style heritage, in its emergency state, demonstrating that inherited public architecture can be thoughtfully adapted even under conditions of extreme uncertainty. The renovation focused on assembling essential infrastructural systems to ensure the building’s long-term functionality. By avoiding unnecessary replacements and keeping the original structure, the project creates a case study on how to engage with modernist architectural heritage without erasing its character or forcing it into a new mold.  Rather than striving for a fixed “final version,” we envision the pavilion as an adaptable architectural structure.
