The Wehrhahn Line project is a team effort by architects, engineers, artists, and the city’s administration and represents the result of 15 years planning and construction work. It is a new 3.4 km-long section of tunnel with 6 stations that runs under downtown Düsseldorf. The unique concept shows how architecture and art can inseparably combine.

Following a successful bid in 2003, AWP developed a strategic plan for the Évry water-treatment plant. The plan included a renovation of the 1970s plant, upgrading facilities, doubling the treatment capacity, creating a central pedestrian axis throughout the site, adding four new buildings, and developing a landscape program accessible to visitors.

The Rhizotron and Xstrata Tree Top Walkway opened at the Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew on 24th May 2008 and had over 9,000 visitors on its first day. The walkway takes visitors eighteen metres high into the tree canopy for a birds’ eye view of Kew and the opportunity to discover the rich biodiversity of the forest canopy.

Thessaloniki’s New Waterfront is a linear place 3.5 km length and of limited depth. The project consists of a long walk along the waterfront and green spaces. It appears to be a thin skin, extended along the difficult to handle with and also provocative limit between sea and land, between natural and constructed landscape.

Amsterdam’s North/South Line connects the north and south of the city via a 10 km long route. Benthem Crouwel Architects designed each of these stations, 2 above and 5 below ground. They are modest and functional, each with its own recognizable appearance but by using the same formal language and design principles, they are clearly family members.
