This is a municipal office building with a municipal car park, erected in the very centre of Poznań. It complemented the south-west corner of a 19th century quarter. The initial project of the fashion and design center suggested the demolition of this three eclectic buildings without apparent qualities nested in the center of Brussels. The small museum stretches along an alleyway in the heart of a sleepy city. Its implantation in length reveals a secret garden forgotten by all. Its architecture tries not to overshadow the buildings that surround it. The plan revisits the space of the domestic room. The Fire Station provides emergency response for fire fighting, river rescue, car crashes and training. A strong form wrapped in zinc is folded – origami-like – to enclose a drill yard for training. The new club house for TC IJburg combines the clubhouse typology with that of a sports tribune or grandstand, perfectly angled for centre-court viewing.
