    The Melopee School represents the only public building in this part of O.M.A.’s masterplan for the ‘Oude Dokken’ in Ghent. It is composed by a compact main building hosting a school, a public sports hall and a nursery and a large open pergola with stacked playgrounds. The two parts are linked by a steel structure.

    A shabby structure built in the Soviet times in Kontorska street is transforming into a dental clinic with a training centre. Although the building has no historical value, we decided to retain its major formal characteristics and proportions. The rhythmic pattern of the facade is also preserved.
