This project is located on a 14 hectares site on the mountain of Montjuïc, in front of the Olympic grounds. It had been used for different types of waste disposal for the last 100 years and for this reason funds were requested from the European Commission in order to recycle the area and convert it into the new botanical garden of Barcelona.

The project was to build high tech offices on a triangular shaped site within an industrial area. In order to do so, we created a garden. A tall “marés” stone wall was raised following the triangular lines of the site, creating an enclosed area.

An outdoor sports complex was built in 1983 on the edge of the Arga River. It consisted of a soccer field, swimming pool and a pelota court adjacent to one of the perimeter walls of the complex. The project covers this last element.

The site for the New Seminary and Theological Center belongs to an heterogeneous urban sector, surrounded by very different buildings. The complex is organised around a big courtyard leaded by the chapel, at the west side of the site. The chapel symbolises both religion and theological studies.

For some time the architect helped his brother, a fashion photographer, look for a site in which to build his residence and workplace. They finally found it in Llampaies, a village of the Alt Empordà region in Catalonia. It consisted of a threshing circle shaped enclosure containing a derelict square hayloft built of stone facing the sun at noon.

A fine haze floating over the water, a radiance hanging in the air: the light of Lake Constance. Our dream was to capture this light in the spaces of the new art museum. So we worked out, how the daylight would enter the exhibition spaces laterally and developed the building as a daylight museum.
