The high water pumping station is situated at the point where the city meets the countryside. A 17-storey block of flats marks the beginning of the city’s Rhine embankment. The pumping station backs onto an alluvial forest in a protected area of outstanding natural beauty.

The former building complex already had a suitable structure to admit the new School of Architecture, even though it needed a clarifying intervention so as to achieve unity, not in the sense of style but of integration.

The Museum of the Art and Technology of Ancient Fortifications is the main ‘hub’ that provides functional and interpretive support to the archaeological site of the ancient gates of Classical Athens at Piraeus, constructed by Themistocles in 493 B.C. and characterizing the physiognomy of Piraeus ever since.

This social housing apartment building is located in PAU de Sanchinarro, a new neighbourhood situated on the northeast edge of Madrid. Blocks of eight houses are seen as separate prefabricated units, which are positioned in a checkerboard pattern next to and on top of each other, leaving openings for communal gardens in between.
