120 years after the installation of Aljaz Tower in August of 1985 on Triglav*, this new shelter was placed below Mountain Skuta in Kamnik Alps. It is replacing a 50 year old bivouac that had previously been on the site.

The Bazaar represented one of Tirana’s most iconic symbols of traditional urban life. The area housed 15 cultural heritage buildings, initially hidden under a generally unappealing commercial space. Nowadays, the New Bazaar has been transformed into a pedestrian area, a lively shopping, eating and night-life space and a perfect tourism destination.

An elementary school for 240 pupils in 8 classrooms, which also serve as the premises for afterschool activities. The school’s cafeteria flexible layout allows an easy rearrangement, creating space for performances of the Elementary Art school, or lectures with film screening. All of this on 1000m2 of usable area.

The project is located at the tip of Nice, to the north. We won the competition by proposing to top off the futsal programme with a multi-sport pitch on the roof. We wanted to create a transversal link between the city and the river. This little concrete temple of sport places the young players into a dialogue with their land and sky.

Sentralen is the result of transformation of two adjacent banking and office buildings into a center for cultural production and social innovation. We were keen to emphasize the buildings’ original qualities and exploit this in the best possible way. The contrast between the rustic and the refined gives the building its distinctive atmosphere.
