The task is created through by examining development possibilities of Dorcol, which is spatially the result of industrialization and consumption by its program. From Production to Consumption of Architecture is the title of thesis that requires programs of consumerism that are not necessarily society's necessity,hedonism in architectural design.
The response to the project task begins with an examination of the development of Dorcol, a location that went through the constant functional and structural changes as a result of different programs from an empty flooded area, through its industrialization (which forms a spatial bordline as it looks today) to the consumption reflecting the power and the standard of the 21st century society. Today, in the era of consumerism, as a necessary aspect of people’s lives, social power is reflected through the possibility of consumption The focus of the project is finding a consumption program - the "hedonistic program" that is not a necessity, according to the hedonism as a sensual pleasure and a choice of an individual. The future program refers to the consumption of wine, as a type of hedonism. Observed on the macro level, the location along the Danube coast, refers to taking the advantage of the connecting possibility with places in Serbia and Europe known for the wine and grapes production, in order to be transported by the river. In addition, on the micro level the position arises from the study of movement flows, therefore, the structure is located at the site of the "Dorcol" port with the aim to continue the pathway that was intercepted by the port. From the network of flows arises the object in which there are various choices of hedonism including the possibility of wine consumption, while the marina retains its capacity through transformation. From an ecological point of view, This program tends to be one that would benefit from its location on the Danube coast. Therefore, in the central part of the building, a swimming pool would be placed, using the filtered water from the Danube. Facilities within the complex include: enology center with wine production (for consumption and testing) wine cellars, hotel and additional facilities (wellness, spa, restaurant) along the promenade, which represents the continuation of the interrupted promenade along the Danube. In this way, created content becomes a free within today’s society which is not imposed.
