The Wei Bridge Ruins is the “2013 Top Ten New Archaeological Discoveries in China”and is an important part of the Han Chang'an City site. Relying on the Han Chang'an City Heritage Park, combined with the Wei Bridge Ruins Protection Exhibition planning and the Archaeological Site Park, we build a completed Han Chang'an City site presentation system.
Wei Bridge archaeological site park planning and design 1.Design concept The design of Wei Bridge archaeological site park is mainly based on the conservation and presentation of ancient Wei River and Wei Bridge site ruins, especially the Middle Wei Bridge (Chucheng Gate Bridge) site is the primary design goal. The design explains the ancient Wei River and the Wei bridge from scale, location, spatial relationship by other methods to achieve a dramatic dialogue between history and reality, give people a wealth of historical information.\n2.Planning structure and general layout The design of the Wei Bridge Archaeological Site Park planned two axes according to the interpretation of the site. The first is the axis of Wei River. This axis emphasizes people's feeling about the ancient Wei River. The second is the axis of the Chucheng Gate. Through the design of site museum to allow people to have multi-faceted interaction with the site, at the same time, as much as possible to understand the information of Wei Bridge. The park provides a lively border, allowing the site to serve as a proxy for new content in city life, as well as adding new vitality to the city.\n3.Wei Bridge Ruins presentation and interpretation planning system According to the composition of the historical information of the Wei Bridge site ruins, museums are covered for the No.2 Bridge, and the Chucheng Gates Bridge No.3, Bridge No.4, Bridge No.5, and Luocheng Gate Bridge is revealed by windows.\nWei Bridge Site Museum Design Looking from the outside of the archaeological pit to the site, the viewpoint can not make people observe the details of the bridge pile ruins. In order to make visitors to observe the ruins details and toguide visitors' sight be drawn from the bottom of the pit, the museum is used as a semi-submerged structure. The sinking of the buildings on both sides keeps the ground level at the same height of the ground site pit. Before entering the museum, visitors walk on the ground with a feeling of walking under the river.
