We are doomed but in a comfort that took us there, that we do not want to leave for a frugal utopia. As an architect how do we stand ethically in this world? I want to rebel against this evolution and to propose a RE-EVOLUTION in my architecture and to position myself in an anthropocene.
The house is thus organized so that all the intimate spaces are around a central space of sacred meditation intended to celebrate and pray. Two rooms facing each other are separated by the center and the kitchen which overlook the river. With attention paid to daily life in front of a river, in the kitchen, or during celebrations, I wanted to give back to the house its place of brilliant and sacred program of genesis of architecture! By sheltering from nature, Man has placed himself at the heart of it. Following a sober, frugal and humble spirit, the construction of the house calls on local know-how and practices. This frame then comes out of the ground and unfolds like the stems of Ravinala, the emblematic tree of Madagascar. In order to provide these conditions of possibility for a Being to live in, I have included in the project an element so that it can keep up with the world too. This is what I called the chimney. It serves as a means of exorcism, a place of prayer and celebration. They can burn it, grow a plant there, reproduce in front of it, decorate it. This fireplace serves as a witness to Habiter’s experience. This house is thus the symbol of their relationship to the world.
