A historic site, once central to the area's social life now lies in neglect. Currently marked by dense vegetation and abandoned structures, the site will be revitalized by preserving the natural landscape and creating new spaces connecting people with the environment. The design integrates existing structures with minimal interventions to maintain harmony. It introduces cultural, environmental, and recreational areas that enhance both engagement with nature and the coast’s cultural identity.
The intervention preserves the site's unique character while introducing spatial experiences that encourage social interaction and environmental exploration.By reusing existing structures with minimal interventions and integrating new elements into the landscape, the project enhances the area's historical identity while ensuring its sustainable future. The proposal is structured around 3 sectors that define its spatial and functional organization. The Plage serves as a waterfront gathering space, incorporating a café, a grocery store and shaded seating areas that provide comfort while maintaining a seamless connection to the coastal environment. Enhancing accessibility and encouraging leisure activities, this section respects the existing landscape while making it more inviting and functional. The culture zone fosters local engagement through an open-air amphitheater and multipurpose spaces for events and exhibitions, reinforcing the community’s connection to the site. By repurposing the existing and designing flexible, open-air spaces, this area becomes a creativity and interaction hub. Finally,Nature Episodes invite visitors to explore the site through interactive gardens, walking paths, and observatories, creating opportunities for reflection and immersion in the wild. This section integrates ecological restoration with human experience, encouraging an active relationship with the landscape. By balancing heritage conservation with innovative design, this intervention aspires to transform the site into a dynamic, multifunctional space where nature and culture coexist harmoniously. Prioritizing sustainability, the project redefines the area as a renewed destination for recreation, cultural exchange, and ecological awareness, ensuring its relevance for future generations.
