The resilient system is a riverfront landscape and architecture design that faces the complex conditions of Jialing river and post-industrial land in Chongqing, China. Based on a series of resilient design strategies, we aim to build up a flexible, dynamic, and sustainable park that not only solve the flooding and vacancy problems but also provide an open public space for the whole city to memorize the industrial history and be aware of the unique environment that we should cherish.\nWe think the core issues we have to tackle are flooding problems, the fluctuating belt, the brown-field that has polluted soil, the existing factories and dwellings and the requirement of open public space. Therefore, a resilient system that deals with all the issues and meets the requirement is essential to the projects. We conclude the strategies in those five main aspects: land restoration as soil resilience, stormwater management as water resilience, functional planting as planting resilience, flexible programs as program resilience, and sustainability and transitionality as cultural resilience.
