The purpose of the idea is an attempt to answer one of the main human needs which is rest. The area chosen once as a location of manor houses, now still can be a place of an escape from the city noise. The concept of thermal complex shows how architecture can expose values of the natural landscape.
The desire to preserve an impression of objects division contributed to a concept creation based on merging single elements using concrete slab and then connecting these elements underground. Composition based on raised terrace, also appreciated by modernism architects, is reflected in ancient buildings. Due to the landform, the slab once lies flat on the ground, while in other places it hovers above creating observation terraces. The holes in the slab create a path between tree crowns while the space located under terrace makes a possibility to experience the forest from the tree trunks level. The dimness of this place combined with a trunks colonnade intertwined with columns supporting the slab, consciously reflects the nature of the forest depth. To emphasize the identity of the Valley, the local limestone was used in the lower parts of the buildings. The location of individual parts of the complex includes the each space privacy needs. Thermal zone, requiring intimacy, was hidden underground whereas its above-ground part is separated with trees. To create a cameral space, the therm interior has been divided into smaller zones. The labyrinth created this way, allows you to reinvent the space with every single step. The proposed architecture is characterized by the simplicity of the form. It refers to the psychological human structure based on experiences. What is known causes no anxiety feelings, it can even help achiving mental rest. Limiting the stimuli number, architecture has a chance to blend in the landscape, being only a background for events. This idea is an attempt to efface the boundaries between architecture and nature, which can complement and emphasize each other. It is a response to the body and the soul needs of human being. It helps to feel the closeness of nature, giving the ability to bow down to her wealth we often forget about.
