Tetris Apartments is a mixed-use residential group of buildings located in the central part of Varna, Bulgaria. The purpose of the project is to provide both maximum urban comfort and a touch of nature. Aimed at young families, located in a densely populated area, the project ensures an "oasis" with recreation, sports, entertainment and play areas.
The project presents different types of multi-family residential buildings, reflecting current trends in residential architecture. It is an up-to-date topic and fits to the increased interest of residential complexes with indoor park space and peripheral planting. The residents are thus protected from noise and dust pollution caused by the traffic of the big city. The buildings are functionally divided into public and residential part - the public functions are located on the ground floor and the residential part is located on the next five floors. The ground levels of the four sections in the eastern part of the property are provided with retail space and the three sections in the west - with administrative premises. In the functional planning of the residential parts - the master bedrooms are of the traditional type, with minimal size and space savings, while the living rooms are more spacious. The living area is realized as the main composite element in which the functional wealth of the dwelling is concentrated. It is glazed to the maximum and is in contact with the surrounding space. The children's rooms fully provide the opportunity to carry out daytime functions - playing, school preparation and relaxation. A total of 113 dwellings have been designed, out of which 4 studios, 10 work rooms, 42 one-bedroom apartments, 45 two-bedroom apartments, 12 maisonettes. The design of the architectural and facade image of the buildings emphasizes the minimalist style of the facade design, with flat roofs and plastic volumetric composition. Vertical windows with shading elements prevail which is a good energy-efficient solution. The combination of facade materials such as HPL panels, glass and aluminum (Etalbond) cladding is an established aesthetically sound solution.
