Set on a leveled terrace within mountainous terrain, the pavilion-style residence captures southern sunlight and harmonizes with nature. A linear platform resolves the site’s topography, while light columns creates openness. The single-story volume forms a dialogue between light, landscape, and living space.
The project addresses the challenge of building within steep mountainous terrain while maintaining spatial clarity and minimal intervention. A controlled platform was created to stabilize the slope and maximize sunlight exposure. The pavilion typology allows seamless continuity between inside and outside, promoting openness and simplicity. Private patios extend lower rooms, while the conservatory fulfills the owner’s botanical passion, integrating greenery and views into daily life. The design strategy merges topographical sensitivity, user comfort, and ecological restraint into one coherent architectural response.
The structure consists of a colored concrete base combined with a lightweight steel frame to ensure stability and visual balance on the sloped terrain. Stainless steel elements and aluminum window systems provide precision and longevity. Extensive glass surfaces enhance transparency, passive lighting, and natural ventilation. The conservatory employs insulated glazing supported by minimal stainless profiles. Sustainable principles guided every decision through local sourcing, reduced earthwork, and material efficiency. All finishes were selected for long life and minimal maintenance in the local climate.
