_the ground floor of a former sock factory is transformed as an artists’ workshop
_a courtyard is created by demolishing part of the concrete slab of the first floor _a single gate allows access to the workshop via the courtyard
_the rest of the existing post-beam concrete structure is preserved and exposed _a railing in galvanized corrugated iron intimizes the courtyard from the terrace of the first floor _a large steel accordeon window creates the limit between the interior and the new exterior _the windows overlooking the streets are replaced by double glazed windows mounted on the façade
