The proposal aims to transform a plot of agricultural land, subjected to the pressure of urban growth, through an architectural intervention. As a result, this tourist settlement, following a landscape approach, explores new forms of use for this territory of peripheral character, and therefore revaluates it.
Temporary accommodation, with associated activities, links the travel experience with the landscape of an agricultural environment. A tourist settlement combines camping activities with more stable buildings. It consists of a camping area, motorhome area, cabins, restaurant, multipurpose center and service buildings with toilets, showers and laundry. The program occupies the entire parcel, giving value to the routes that are generated between the different buildings. The main path starts at the western boundary of the plot and penetrates the forest, crossing the different clearings that appear, until it reaches the last one where a natural pool is placed. The straight line, as a mark in the landscape (like the line made by walking), accompanies the developing of the project from the first sketches. Beyond the formal gesture, it is intended to establish an order that governs the arrangement of the various elements of the program, both the stable (buildings) and the ephemeral (caravans, tents, etc.). We have taken into account the seasonality associated with tourism, and the interest that a complex of this type can remain open throughout the year. Therefore, on the one hand, the possibility of carrying out associated activities, related to the agricultural character of the place is considered, and on the other hand, it is contemplated that the permanent buildings can be used in a variety of ways, and even serve the neighbors of the area. In order to achieve this, an open multipurpose room is proposed, and also folding furniture in the cabins. In this way, the space can be liberated for different uses: remote working, meetings, workshops, neighborhood meetings, etc. The wall linked to the ground is the fundamental element on which the rest of the components of our camp gravitate, and in turn, it is the only element with a vocation of permanence in it. The other elements can appear and disappear according to the needs. That is to say, in the case of needing to "break camp", the only vestige that would remain would be a wall detached from its original function.
