The connection between private and social life. It already happens in the underprivileged realities. Designing spaces for private life but deliberately thought as to be shared, to be lived together. A big house cared for and available to everyone, where the house spaces are open towards the community and the social spaces get somehow private.
This project is the result of a path that started in Brasil, where I had the chance to get to know a very different reality: the favela. The phenomenon of spontaneous villages was caused, among other things, by an uncontrolled demographic growth. The difficulties encountered by the brasilian government in managing this have led almost 11 millions of people to live in conditions of extreme poverty.\r\nThese villages are made up of improvised homes with no primary services, and spaces are the direct result of the needs of the moment. At the same time, however, the favela shows us the importance of the meaning we allocate to spaces and reminds us of what our essential needs are.
