The planned venue in Karpacz consists of five ski jumping hills. The small (HS 10, 27) and medium (HS 50) hills are grouped in a training facility, the normal (HS 109) and large (HS 145) hills build a sports arena, capable of hosting the top international competitions in ski jumping.
Ski jumping is the second most popular sport in Poland, being surpassed only by football. Especially for the last 15 years, our top flying athletes have inspired us to take risks, to overcome our weaknesses and boundaries within our minds, to win and to learn from failure. And while according to the surveys 40% of the Polish population is interested in ski jumping and the FIS World Cup competitions are watched by 4 million viewers on average, there are very few professional venues in Poland where ski jumping can be trained, located primarily in the southern parts of the country, in the Carpathian Mountains – and only two large hills among them, where the top international competitions can take place. The designed venue in Karpacz would be the only venue in operation in the Polish part of the Sudetes, covering the western part of Poland.
