The School is a project that forms part of the urban requalification plan of Bairro Operário in the urban district of Sambizanga, in Luanda, Angola. With an area of 1.79 hectares, the project aims to qualify the teaching process by guaranteeing an educational institution for this densely populated area.

With an area of 1.79 hectares, the project aims to qualify the teaching process by guaranteeing an educational institution in this densely populated area.\r\nThe building was designed within the standards of modernism and taking into account the elementary standards of good construction, compliance with the General Regulation of Urban Buildings and safety standards in buildings of this type.\r\nThe volumetry of the projected building composes a structure equal to two floors and a pavilion. Located on the 1st floor we have the support and services pavilion and the academic area and on the 2nd floor the administrative area and academic area. On regular ground.\r\nThe architectural configuration conceived refers them to a contemporary style, taking into account that it will be a work built with material codes and contemporary construction techniques.\r\nIn the elaboration of the architectural project, an attempt was made to establish a good connection of functional interdependence between the blocks that make up the type project.\r\nThe building has its main entrance on the main façade. A secondary access directly linked to the administrative area and two exits\r\nMeaning and Impact of the Project - The shape is born from a fist “the Worker's fist” in homage to the first inhabitants who gave name to the neighborhood. And with that, the building has a radial layout in order to promote protection, security and unity to its users.\r\nMaterial, Construction and Technology - The building will be implemented and built with traditional construction technologies, with the superstructure in reinforced concrete, the closures in masonry blocks on the ground floor and in ceramic bricks on the second floor and the roof in concrete slab armed.\r\nThe building provides for horizontal and vertical circulation.
