Restaurant «Myaso» – is a modern steakhouse with a large capacity, which is the flagship culinary destination in the «Emily Resort» complex in Vynnyky, Lviv region. The uniqueness of the project lies in its innovative location and program: the restaurant is architecturally implemented on a former helipad located directly above the lake, offering a panoramic view of the lake shore. This complex context transformed the technical facility into an important public facility. The essence of the project lies in its twofold achievement: the successful integration of an exquisite food program into a new large-scale resort infrastructure, while creating an impressive architectural and culinary landmark of the region.
Complexity of the site: The repurposing of the existing rigid structure (former helipad) built over water required overcoming significant engineering and structural complexities to transform it into a large-capacity restaurant aimed at the public. Contextual integration: the need to create a modern, high-class design that remains visually and ecologically coherent with the surrounding natural landscape and the general infrastructure design standards of "Emily Resort". Operational efficiency (Operational efficiency): Ensuring the smooth implementation and maintenance of the flow of services, logistics and utilities for a large restaurant (kitchen, storage, waste management) in an isolated location above water. Customer/user Needs (Customer/User): We have met the customer's need for a «flagship» establishment by prioritizing a panoramic design with glass elements that offers exceptional views, thereby enhancing the user experience and guaranteeing the restaurant's status as a key destination. Structural adaptation: A strategic decision was made to use the solid foundation of the existing helipad, integrating a new lightweight frame structure over it. This approach minimized the environmental impact and significantly reduced construction times and costs associated with work on water. Location Response: The design used insulation to treat the restaurant as a «destination building». In the interior, we used local natural materials (wood, stone) to contrast with the modern glass facade, providing a sense of the integrity of the project with the Vinnyky landscape, while emphasizing its unique location above the water.
Materials, Construction and Sustainable Development The facility is based on adaptive reuse: the reinforced concrete base of the former helipad has been retained, and a metal frame has been erected above it to support the glass facades. Environmental strategy and materials: We minimized the impact on water by using the existing platform. In construction, environmentally friendly and local materials are used to reduce the carbon footprint: Cover: Traditional reeds (for thermal insulation and aesthetic integration with the landscape). Walls: Austrian brick (for energy efficiency and durability). Interior: Natural wood and leather (to create a premium, warm atmosphere). Energy efficiency is provided by a highly insulating envelope and low-emission glass. Maintenance recommendations include an annual inspection of the underwater base and regular cleaning of the facades, critical to the unique location above water.
