The concept of a residential and commercial building in Dunajska Street in Ljubljana was largely determined by urban guidelines according to which this part of Dunajska Street must be built up by low, continuous constructions with sporadic perpendicular vertical features.
The facade is brick since the authors feel that this material gives a convincing perception of firmness, durability and security to residential units, or rather, to the occupants. At the same time, the building uses its monumental appearance and in spite of its small size controls the corner position along the current and future Ljubljana access road.
