In this subject we start with literature research to know the history behind the architecture, spatial pattern, and its historical evolution. The recovery conclusions based on this research are not only drawn to guide the second stage of the display design,but explains to the public the meaning of the architecture and the cultural value behind it as well.
The course is divided into two phases: restoration research, display design.The restoration study was based on literature research which include image documents, historical documents, and interviews with people.The auxiliary research method is the comparison of similar buildings and the image analysis method.; The comparison of the same type of buildings is mainly based on the construction of the surrounding dioceses such as the Shanxi and Shaanxi Dioceses, the Gansu Diocese, and the church buildings in the area, alongside with reference to the same type of church buildings in the same period abroad.The image analysis refers to objects and people in historical images or objects and estimating the scale of the target building.
