Domestic violence is known when a person exercises physical, psychological or sexual violence within a family. According to several sources, a rehabilitation center represents a solution to help and overcome this scourge through the different activities and spaces offered in order to gradually reintegrate society.
Victims of domestic violence and/or abuse (physical or sexual) are in the majority of cases traumatized because they are unable to defend themselves or are afraid of the outside world, they shut themselves away and prefer not to talk about it, hoping that this problem will not be repeated. The rehabilitation center for victims of domestic violence and abuse is proposed to help them gradually reintegrate into society. The architecture of the project follows a precise concept based on the connection between introverted and extroverted spaces. This connection is represented by firm concrete frameworks for office and apartment spaces and therapy, and open frameworks for spaces of activity and sociability between people so that they feel comfortable talking with others who are also in the same situation. The activities and spaces proposed in this project can also be used as therapy areas, as it is endowed with a biophilic design, a design that plays a lot on the mood and the snake of a person, but also with the freedom on the way in the building offering panoramic views of the sea but also on the project both inside and outside. The project consists of free space on the ground floor accessible to the public, and the upper spaces which are private like offices and apartments including semi-private spaces like the restaurant and a block used for group therapy during the day, but also cinema according to the established program. Moreover, the Rehabilitation Centre is equipped with playgrounds such as sports fields and a children's play area not far from the sea, which is connected by an extension that offers a walk towards the sea to enjoy the view and also to take advantage of the platforms for yoga and relaxation.
