The program is influenced by the exceptional location of the site within the Roman Renaissance fabric and the possibilities of transmitting the stratigraphic heritage to visitors.
I chose to redevelop the urban void of Via Giulia to understand how a contemporary architecture project (non-conservative) in the historic center of Rome can be an impetus to the regeneration of the entire city. The project of an international academic center stems from the desire to allow the Italian art studio in one of the most fascinating places of our country. I believe that designing a place for discussion and study among scholars of different nationalities will enrich not only the Roman citizens but especially the scientific cooperation between international academies already present in the city. The decision to do a project in my city of origin comes from the desire to be able to promote change and to give life to a productive criticism of the mistakes that have been committed in my country in the twentieth century.
