The studio, based on teaching by action, had been sollicitated by the artistic compagny « La Langue Ecarlate » in order to lead the eloboration of an ephemeral theater in a rural environment.
The studio ended up with 15 projects which proceed from the reality of landscape of the territory of Gers. They aim to expand our understanding of performance spaces but also the perception of the reality which surrounds us, our environment in all ways. These projects intend to be mastered in their savings in resources but still open to the imaginary of live art. \nOn that purpose, the studio had elaborated an experimental protocal of research based on photography and writing as project mediums. Travelling throughout the territory of Gers has leaded to various investigations which resulted in an insitu workshop adopting the photograhic apparatus as a device of layout for theses researchs. Supervised by the architect-teacher Sébastien Martinez Barat in collaboration with the photograph Maxime Delvaux, the group of students set up a protocol of fabrication of systematic images. The shots had been treated in order to highlight located and chosen caracteristics in the image. A selection of photographies has been submitted to the writing of texts; so that the project is elaborated with methodical observation and its restitution. The work on photographs and texts had leaded to a publication «[directory of identified anecdotes in Gers]» and an operative device of project.\nIn order to illustrate the reflections around the temporary theater, and in line with the logic of group, all students have produced documents of the same type : photographs, plans, sections if needed, axonometry and a collage. These documents had been gathered to form a directory of projects which are to be taken as a whole to understand. As a consequence each project develops both a study on a specific element of the landscape of Gers and a reflection on the live art through the elaboration of a project around a specific staging of a piece of theater.
