The redevelopment of the company’s post-Soviet industrial heritage - 2 buildings and territory. The design process included research, co-creation workshops with company team, identifying the functional, technological and safety requirements for each work zone. As precise, smart and concentrate is this company's production of cutting edge technologies, as precise has to be our design. Layouts correspond to technological and functional requirements of production processes, placing the worker at the centre — as a result a human, vibrant environment both indoors and outdoors is developed.
TRANSPARENCY + LIGHT + COLOUR follow FUNCTION + GREEN OUTDOOR 'CUSHIONS' TRANSPARENCY: Large glazed partitions in façades and interiors separate cleanrooms from common areas, while maintaining visual contact between employees and allowing visitors to observe the production processes from shared spaces. LIGHT: Mirror surfaces that amplify light are used in the entrance canopies and interior finishes, emphasizing the company’s core business: the transmission of light as the symbol of life and hope, embodied by the medical devices produced here. COLOUR: Bright, pure colours highlight key entrances, room groupings, and production zones. This generates an energetic, functional, comfortable and safe working environment for the team. GREEN OUTDOOR 'CUSHIONS': Any green plants are forbidden in cleanrooms - for short breaks between concentrated work without a possibility to go out of the cleanroom area, the wide views from inside to outside, to the green 'cushions' are purposefully designed.
AN OPTICAL FIBER BUNDLE TRANSMITS LIGHT WITH PRECISION AND SUBTLE TONAL GRADATIONS — THIS MANUFACTURY IS WHITE AND BRIGHT, LIKE LIGHT ITSELF, THE ‘COLOUR BUNDLES’ ARE USED DYNAMICALLY YET DELICATELY THROUGHOUT THE SPACE. The existing structures were renovated, the demolished concrete structures and building materials, at about 12 tons, were reused by constructing new roads and squares. The facades and partition walls are mainly glazed because of many functional aspects: the building area has to have natural daylight as much as possible, glazed walls help to have eye contact between workers in different working areas, glass is very optimal for frequent cleaning (required after each work switch, 2 per day). Interior specific materials - metal and glass wall panels, vinyl floorings, acoustic ceilings, - both meet high cleanroom requirements and 'vitaminize' the 'white standard' of cleanrooms with vibrant colours.
