Nursery school and a daycare centre

Castalla is a town, which protagonist is the castle which culminates the mountain where the town is born and grows down the slope to the plain. The work area, between the old historical facade of Castalla. Taking advantage of the strategic situation, a nursery school and a daycare centre is proposed.

NEAR SETTING In a near setting, an urban plan projects the pedestrianisation of the whole main street and also east and south of the plot. One of the problems that have been found is the malfunction of the road traffic, so an study of the roads direction has been performed.\nCLOSE SETTING In a close setting, the recovery and remodeling of the façade in order to bring back that historical image of the city and the opening of the plot to the outside in order to offer that disused space. Creating a longitudinal park.\nPROJECT´S SETTING Based on the fact that we are pursuing the recovery of Castalla´s historical memory, in a project´s setting it is proposed the construction of a nursery school and a daycare centre, where all those architectural and topographical barriers that may exist are removed. This way we create a joining point between the existent equipment and the different heights that streets show in order to be integrated in the same project adapted to every type of people which is inexistent nowadays. This integration will be performed through the material nature and form of the building, using the elements which best adapt to the concept integration.
