New philharmonic building in Sofia

The New Music Complex in Sofia, titled Rhapsody in Green, is designed to address Bulgaria's need for a world-class concert venue and cultural hub. Located in Knyazheska Garden, it strategically integrates with its natural surroundings and key cultural landmarks, offering a vibrant space for music, education, and social interaction. The complex features Bulgaria's first 24-hour covered cultural plaza, which includes a café, library, co-working spaces, and outdoor performance areas. It spans five levels, offering diverse functions such as underground parking, a Museum of Bulgarian Music Culture, a 2,000-seat main hall, a 400-seat auxiliary hall, VIP lounges, and a green roof for sound insulation. The design incorporates a Vineyard Hall configuration, ensuring superior acoustics and dynamic interaction with the orchestra. The building's structure blends reinforced concrete for acoustic insulation with prefabricated metal for sustainability. The façade is adorned with suspended LED panels that reflect natural light during the day and transform into a vibrant visual display at night, symbolizing the building's artistic essence.
