Music and architecture celebrate the fabric of the city environment. For example Frank Gehry aimed to do something similar, but for cultural rather than political reasons. He wanted his design protect the idea of the concert hall as refuge, but also embody the essential informality of Los Angeles.

There are several factors, which are the basis for my choice for this graduation project: First, the lack of a similar center in the city. Second, my conviction for complimenting as well as contradicting the mundane forms found in a traditional neo-classic urban center. The fabric of the city must represent the diversity of people. As Winston Churchill said "We shape our buildings and thereafter they shape us." In a broader context, my idea is linked to the candidacy of Sofia for a European capital, which suggests interference in the development of public spaces and not only that.
