Multi Functional Children and Youth Center

From toddlers to students, from fine arts to exact science and sports, everything one youngster needs to find itself, to better understand it's weaknesses and strengths, to gain new skills, develop new hobbies and more - communicate, make friends and enjoy all of that can now be found all in one place !

Situated in the south of Varna, Bulgaria, on a terrain that is supposed to be used for sports and attractions, the building takes a central place of the property, surrounded by alleys and trees. On the north the terrain borders with Varna's lake, on the west borders with newly designed park and on the other two sides it shares borders with terrains designed to serve the purposes of residential's needs. The pedestrian access to the property is possible by all sides, the vehicle access is intended to happen on the east and on the west property boundary. A big parking for visitors is situated on the east and leads to the entry for the underground parking meant for employees. The building has two entrances. The main one leads to a vast hall that gives access to several stores, a cafe and a restaurant. It also gives access to the art corpus, a big role meant for role plays and to the sports corpus. The sport corpus has his own main entrance. The restaurant, the art's centers also have entrances but they are designed to be invisible to the eye so that the visitors don't feel confused. All the different zones have their own halls and sanitary units. The sport's unit has a big swimming pool with places for audience and so does the multipurpose sport's hall. The both have their own changing rooms, warehouses and a medical room for emergencies. The art's unit consists of a big theatre hall for performances. It also has changing rooms, rooms for costumes, make up, and on the second floor it has rehearsal classrooms. The science unit is situated above the hall for role plays and has two levels with many classrooms that are meant to be for different subjects. The restaurant also has a second floor. On the second level is also placed the administration of the building. All the different units are clearly separated but still communicate trough one hall. The design has smooth lines that can relate to the sea nearby, and it also aims to emphasize the two main entrances. The color of the science unit is white as a symbol of purity and elevation that knowledge gives. The facades are covered with HPL panels and with aluminum, vertical, sunscreen profiles.
