C4 is a project whose intervention methodology can be extrapolated to other parts of the city. A strategy is designed to bathe the dark underground spaces with natural light and create creative capsules. In the Defensive Headquarters of the complex, a place of meditation, art and creation will be created in which to enjoy a privileged natural environment.
The intervention proposal is made up of 3 fundamental elements: the military batteries, the Defensive barracks and the functional capsules. In the case of military batteries, the light matrix is designed, which studies the different possibilities of perforation, punctual and linear, obtaining a light percentage associated with the interior use that is to be made of the space. With low percentages meditation and rest are allowed, for intermediate percentages creativity that does not require fixation of the gaze and high percentages for study and concentration. The intervention in the General Fajardo barracks uses a structural strategy that consolidates the heritage building while providing it with adequate spaces to develop the functions of the program. A place where creative uses of greater spatial requirements such as large sculptures, paintings or dance can be developed and widely exhibited. A macrostructure in which great care must be taken in the execution process. It is made up of wall beams and 4 macro pillars that support the building, providing firmness and durability while creating a huge multidisciplinary space under it. A place where we have the feeling that the heritage building is levitating. Finally, the functional capsules are self-sufficient and transportable modules that generate space adapted to the needs of the users. They are created by studying the metrics, mobility and spatial needs of each of the artistic and creative disciplines. These capsules can be located both indoors and outdoors. They are covered (like all the perforations of the project) with EFTE with a photovoltaic solar layer that allows recharging batteries that provide lighting and ventilation to the module. In the whole project, light and materiality are used as tools to create comfortable spaces for rest, meditation and creation. Sustainability will be key in the intervention, making its carbon footprint zero and the energy consumption of the complex self-sufficient. In short, a space in which the human being is in direct contact with nature while listening to himself to heal the mind, heart and soul.
