New compact housing solutions as an answer to the current shortage of affordable living space in Munich
Our Project tries to test the limits of high-density. Can we arrange various living qualities in a minimum of space? Can we ensure enough light in a building with a maximum of depth? How can we encourage community inside of each flat and within the apartment building. Questions that became more and more important these days. Cities are growing faster and people can not afford living there any longer. Munich is just an example among many others. We wanted to create urban housing, that enlarges the scale of the area around and gives impulses for further urban planning. Housing that builds on the city structure. A building that catches the eye not just because of its size but because of its proportions and interesting Materials. We wanted to create a green lively rooftop garden to generate community. An Area that enriches the urban living. We wanted to create flats with a minimum of space but a maximum of living quality.
