The project was primarily intended to reuse the underground section between the station and Midi Lemonnier (released by the creation of the new subway station under the Avenue Stalingrad) and to open it to turn it into a path for pedestrian.
The aim of the project is to reconnect the site area of Gare du Midi with the city center by reducing the threshold created by the inner ring, to reduce fragmentation of public space by the presence of many network mobility and improve the transitions between the different layers created a cause of the public trasportation.
