The purpose of the work is the spatial extent of life and activities for different groups of users - connecting different generations so as not to isolate any, enable conducting different dialogues and options with the experiences of each of them.
Referring to the concept of urban layout which is Nikiszowiec, I want to create a space that integrates generations in the vicinity of architecture evoking stability, reliability and tradition. It is an attempt to use and revive the potential, as well as another step towards the revitalization of the unique space that is Nikiszowiec and the surrounding area. The designed object will also constitute urban closure of unfinished housing development plans. The purpose of the work is to create a space for living and functioning for completely different groups of users - connecting different generations so as not to isolate any, but create the opportunity to conduct a joint dialogue and use the experience of each of them. The buildings were designed in the form of a quarter in response to the neighboring urban layout of the Nikiszowiec housing estate. The block was created from a combination of a historic building form. Numerous undercuts were introduced to the compact building, closed to the community from the outside, isolating people inside in the ground floor of the building. This treatment allowed the body to open to the outside. The most important opening is created by a glass axis leading from the building to the planned concept of housing development "New Nikiszowiec" with the aim of encouraging young people to integrate inside the building. The large foreground in front of the main entrance, the cut walls at the undercuts, have an unusual character and even invite passers-by inside. Other undercuts are aimed at introducing communication - pedestrian routes inside the building so that passers-by do not have to bypass it, and even pass through it. The purpose of the work is to create a space for living and functioning for completely different groups of users - connecting different generations so as not to isolate any, but create the opportunity to conduct a joint dialogue and use the experience of each of them. Inside the quarter, a spacious courtyard has been designed to bring the inhabitants closer to nature. The final stage was to design a rooftop seating space.
