The overall design is part of a modern city. Appereance of the buildings refers to the tradition of using brickwork in Hradec Kralove. Proposal is be timeless and have a rational layout. It achieves a density of approx. 280 hr/h while aims to enable the comfort of living in family houses but have benefits of living in the city.
The goal of the proposal was to refer to the tradition of using brickwork, which is found throughout Hradec Králové, and at the same time to refer to the former area, which was entirely made of brick. The preserved factory with a chimney forms a public space with a square, which Kukleny does not yet have and was one of the requirements. The entire ground level was raised to the level of Pražská street. The former factory is located approximately 1.5m below ground level. There is a multifunctional social hall, which is missing in Kukleny. There are steps around the former factory that can be used for resting. In front of the factory, there is a green area from Pražská Street, which separates the eastern and western parts of the square. There are several commercial spaces for rent, e.g. a bakery, a cafe, a stationery shop, a doctor, etc. There is one old apartment building on Pražská street which is privately owned and used for housing. In the future, it would be important that the city manages to buy the house and it can be reconstructed and integrated into the housing complex. The facades of the houses on Pražská Street try to preserve the character of the street with a regular structure. However, towards the other sides, the mass is irregular and decreases towards the water spruit. Thanks to this, terraces are created here for private use and for growing greenery. All roofs are flat with extensive greenery. Two semi-private spaces are designed between the apartment blocks, where the front gardens of the ground-floor apartments and children's playgrounds are located. These lower flats do not have a view of the drive, but that does not detract from their quality. The apartments are mainly oriented to the south-east. Of the 157 apartments, 110 have their own private space in the form of a terrace or loggia. The 47 apartments that do not have an outdoor area are mainly oriented towards Pražská street, which is quite busy and the facades of the buildings retain a fixed form.
