Motto: O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth. Psalm 57.11 The designed building represents usage both ancient and modern architectural principles in a simple concept that uses proportions of the terrain and transformation of principles of various classical cultures. The building, although small in size reaches all above the earth and a symbolic route runs into a distance. By setting the building deeper into the ground an optimum acoustic comfort is reached while the volume of the building remains at its minimum.
The exterior was designed to resist vandalism: transparent coating on fair-face concrete, wired glass and fine latticing. The interior is designed to provide comfortable homely atmosphere for a small community. It is simple and it should be made up with plants. The operation of the church and the centre corresponds with the requirements of the customer. The construction is made of traditional fair-face reinforced concrete, brick walls, wood lagging, and dry stone lining. planner: Zdenek Franek ARCHITECT and ASSOCIATES s.r.o. contractor: PLS a.s. enclosed space: 2940m3 project: 2007 realization: 2008-2010 costs: 20mil.
