It does not happened every day in architecture, that a new typology appears. I believe there is one emerging right now. Topic of my graduation project is Hospice, architecture for dying people.
The building is located in hearth of the Prague, in a void space where small houses youse to stay before big redeveleopment of Prague in 19th century. Quite symbolically is the place in that view, it lays between hospital and monastery, Hospice is half healthcare service but olso social-spiritual. The seven points for hospice are fully implemented in this building as can be seen on panel. The house consist of three layers: ground floor semi public, first floor composed as landscape with common spaces, 2nd floor as "town in city" with patients rooms and finally roof, the common garden. From view above, there are several holes in the roof. They are continue as courtyards for the patients rooms in level bellow. In storeys bellow 2nd floor, courtyards changes into columns which bear the whole structure.
