This kind of camera obscura is a hybrid object, both a shelter hidden from view and a place of heightened awareness, in which the body becomes a sensitive film and a hyper-sensorial receptor.
HBox is a minimal architecture, a tribute to Jean Prouvé's industrial design. It is composed of modules of high resistance lightweight materials, easily assembled, disassembled and transported, to travel around the world. The 6.5metre unit designed to accommodate 10 viewers at a time could be assembled in less than twelve hours. HBox display videos specially made for the touring project are updated every years.
Features videos by: Alice Anderson, Yael Bartana, Sebastian Diaz Morales, Dora Garcia, Judith Kurtag, Valerie Mrejen, Shahryar Nashat and Su-Mei Tse.
