The idea of the project is to offer a spatial solution oriented towards an attractive perception and impact of various photographic activities and arts combined in a suitable environment predisposing to social contacts and relaxation in a park area. It combines functional components of an educational, cognitive and attractive-commercial nature.
The forming of the building is obtained from a cut pyramid, which acts as a \"camera\" with an inscribed cylinder . A photographic image is sought. The cylinder is dictated by the aperture of a camera. The center of the \"aperture\" and the pyramid coincide. Each page of the pyramid is tucked under the next, which is dictated by the petals of an aperture. The building consists of 5 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, each floor above ground reducing in area relative to the contour of the volume. The volume of the building is appropriate to the function and situation. The main axis leading to the park was sought to correspond to the situation and to the visual orientation of the building and the approaches to and from it. Landscaping is provided within the lobby. This, in addition with the park, reinforces the proximity to the natural environment sought in the design. The building is in keeping with the surrounding parkland around the perimeter and the tall foliage along the southern frontage of the regulated property. Car and bicycle parking and technical and service facilities are located in the underground levels. On the ground level are located commercial and public facilities with the possibility of unrestricted access by a wide range of visitors. Intersecting pedestrian passageways with green spaces and covered space encircling the periphery of the building create a wide choice of routes for passing, viewing and recreation. The internal spaces have quick and convenient communications with the outside. The functions provided on the subsequent floors are grouped and arranged vertically according to their level of visitation.
