The project is aimed at the maintenance and recovery, now nonexistent, of a part of the existing buildings with high historical value. The site is between two streets separated by a important topographic leap.
I chose this project because after analizing the problems of the land where it is located and understanding the obstacles and its potential, I thought an interesting proposal might arise. In addition, I think it is also very interesting not only to meet and/or solve specific needs, such as restoring communication between districts, but also have the opportunity to maintain and enhance the value of the Old Medieval Wall, which once protected the city of Palamós. I believe the cork factory would also add interest to the project. I thought it would be an ambitious project, but the whole learning process would be very interesting. As MATHEW FREDERICK, architect and city planner would say: "The improvement of the design process and not a fully completed building, is the most valuable thing you can achieve in architecture and capital that can be used later in the next project".
