Crystal Business Centre

The office building is situated at the beginning of the main axis of a rapidly growing new business district in immediate proximity to the administrative and historical centre of Sofia, on a boulevard of new offices, administrative buildings and residences from the old urban environment of the city. Design and construction have followed a new generation concept of creating multifunctional and transformable interior spaces, whereby public areas are brought to a minimum, providing more mobile and effective office spaces. The environment required for class AAA offices has been achieved through the use of contemporary technologies not only in construction, but also in building management and infrastructure.

The street façade reflects the existential contrast between dynamics and confidentiality in the corporate business environment: the powerful movement of the 'monitors' piercing through a stainless steel curtain. It consists of a structural suspended curtain wall by SCHUCO enclosed in a ventilated façade out of aluminium composite panels and a suspended wire cloth by HAVER&BOECKER. The building has a reinforced concrete structure complying with the rigorous seismic stability requirements in the region of Sofia. The solid parts of the façade and all windows have a high degree of thermal insulation, which, combined with the BMS controlled HVAC system, provide energy efficiency and comfort.
