The project presents the development of a system solution for green areas and accompanying water elements as a coherent spatial structure combining natural elements with modern urban and architectural solutions. The concept of the blue and green infrastructure system for the city of Mysłowice is the result of analyzes of conditions and needs in terms of providing residents with access to recreational areas. It is also a response to the growing threats resulting from climate change and the need to strengthen the city's resistance to the effects of these changes. The presented work is based on the urban potential of green areas, which have been combined and supplemented with additional elements. An important element of the work is to indicate the possibility of developing degraded areas as a part of this system. Exemplary solutions (urban details) are part of a wider catalog of various components of such a system, which can be expanded and supplemented as part of the adopted system solution.
