This project proposes to deal with the issue of individual housing and its urban forms. While 77% of French households aspire to own a single house, it is estimated that 90% of these houses are build by promoters. Mainly located in the outskirts, the detached house raises environmental, urban, architectural and social issues.
Our strategy is deployed on three scales: departmental, municipal and local. First, we propose to reconnect the municipality to the infrastructure of the metropolis by changing the habits of mobility dominated by the car. We propose to bridge the network of cycle paths and strengthen the frequency of buses. This network completes a network of soft utility and leisure connections.\nOur local interventions aim to experiment with the issue of individual housing in the different urban fabrics of the commune, responsible for the sprawl and devitalization of the villages. These projects do not aim to systematically densify, on the contrary, they propose to experiment with individual housing and social housing in three very distinct and complementary situations.\nIn Calas, we reveal the pre-existence of the site (historic castle-basin axis) by the establishment of 30 townhouses. The current equipment is rebuilt and the whole is connected by a new public space. This project stands in critical of its built context and allows to reconsider the role of the architect in the urban planning of centers.\nCabriès, on its rocky peak is the symbol of the township. By building 26 individual and semidetached social housing units on the slope, we are experimenting with the PLU (Local Urban Plan) and let's try to respond to the parking problems that pollute the village. Appropriate location - transition between the public and privacy - the mineral and pedestrian public space at the center of the project allows you to climb to the historic center and the view \nFinally, in the Vallat valley, aware of the uniqueness of each situation, the project provides a framework for the establishment of a collective order. It consists of walls and hedges, for a new organization of the street front. The plant spaces in the north distance from other dwellings and show a mineral and plant landscape evolving under the clear light of the south.\nSupported by the conviction that the territory cannot be created without a collective and landscape logic, these projects synthesize our visions of student-architects on individual housing and the environment.
