Ciudad Meridiana is geographically isolated from Barcelona.\r\nThe proposal will regenerate the existing valley and the soccer field, which will serve as a traction pole and will create a series of flat routes at the same level.\r\nThe project seeks to attract new residents, but not displace current ones.
The geographical situation of Ciudad Meridiana with respect to the rest of Barcelona and the neighboring municipality of Montacada, produces a physical isolation\r\nThe infrastructures that should facilitate the connection with the rest of the city or with the Besòs river, act in the opposite way, producing barriers due to their density of use.\r\nThe steep slope produces disconnections between the highest and lowest parts of the city.\r\nThe proposal will consist of regenerating the existing valley and the soccer field that we find between Ciudad Meridiana and Can Cuyàs, which due to its peripheral position with respect to the two urban centers will serve as a traction pole in several ways and creating a series of flat routes at the same level.\r\nThis should allow the regeneration and extension of the forest space, which in turn serves as a biodiversity corridor between both mountain ranges and thus generating a mountain neighborhood, and at the same time creating a pole of activity that seeks to break the monotony of the sidewalks.\r\nThe program that will occupy this connection space will attract different types of people and users.\r\nThe proposed Technification Center will participate very actively in this attraction, both for sports fans and professionals, thus being able to provide aid to the most disadvantaged people in the neighborhood and promoting the educational level of the youth of the neighborhood.\r\nFinally, and continuing with the above, the project seeks to attract new neighbors attracted by the new conditions of Ciudad Meridiana, but not to displace the current ones, therefore the project seeks to connect and improve the conditions of the current neighbors with new connections between them and Improving their quality of life.
