The work consists of surgically intervening in the peripheral Marconi neighborhood, with the aim of solving some of the other existing problems, one of the biggest problems of which is the density of territorial occupation. Thus, with techniques used in urban acupuncture, a proposal was created that could solve numerous problems of space.
After making the general diagnosis of the intervention zone, clearer information was obtained on how to intervene.\r\n1st It was necessary to generate more fluidity in the area, as it is very dense, therefore, the buildings that should be removed were identified in detail, in order to obtain the desired relief;\r\n2nd After removing the buildings, we managed to obtain more lighting and natural ventilation, streets with more adequate widths, linear, alleys with at least 2 meters wide and we also managed to obtain a large square right in the center of the intervention zone, which will function as a lung for the area, it will also function as an area for social interaction and the realization of various cultural activities;\r\n3rd These spaces generated after the demolition were also used to implement social housing, such as a housing complex and a mixed building, in order to be able to relocate all residents affected by the demolition and residents who live in residences that represent danger, due to their state of degradation. It was also opportune to create a community cultural space, to meet some cultural and literary needs identified in the area. This same center is intrinsically linked to the large square, with the aim of making the residents feel as much as possible of belonging to the community cultural center, and it is also possible to observe that all the access streets to the square are for pedestrian access only;\r\n4th A surgical intervention was carried out in one of the residences, consisting of 3 small annexes, where two families lived, who shared the bathroom and the courtyard. However, the intervention consisted of remodeling and expanding the residence in an economical way, generating a separation of the accesses, more privacy and rooms with a minimally recommended size.\r\nThus, it was possible to economically bring some comfort, in an area with very informal urban settlements, generating more fluidity in space, more lighting and natural ventilation, more inviting, safer streets and spaces for social interaction.
