Through the study of historical cartographies of Barcelona, the idea of recovering the traditional agricultural urban fabric arises. And also, the historical activity. Thus helping the naturalization of the city and promoting the importance of green spaces within the cities participating in a change in terms of mobility, productivity and community
Based on that study of historical cartographies we discover the mix of two very different urban layouts. On the one hand the plot that responds to the traditional agricultural system and on the other the orthogonality of the expansion. The mixture generates forms in the fabric of the city that seem like an agrarian wound breaking the skin of the city. From here I investigated how I could use a series of degraded and empty spaces in the city to turn them into a new natural public space. Giving urban connection in the area and participating in the naturalization of the city through connected park systems. All this through the recovery of the traditional urban fabric, the historical activity of the neighborhood and the community that the activity itself generates.\nBut also incorporate new equipment for the neighborhood by rehabilitating old industrial buildings and equip the park with new neighborhood communities in a way that supports its operation.\nThe suppression of traffic routes filmed within the city to make way for the park causes mobility systems to be rethought and away from polluting models, as well as the subdivision, the surface irrigation system or the planting of trees direct the project to a naturalization of the area, the subsoil, water reuse and agricultural production.\nThe facilities are strategically distributed on the park floor and are a theater and civic center, an agricultural interpretation center, a coffee factory and a small market. The housing communities are grouped into groups of two towers each that minimize the lowering of the buildable and favor a higher population density than that foreseen in the urban plan.\nThe neighborhood community, the market and the studios form a complex designed for the neighborhood community, with intermediate meeting spaces. The houses follow this line of collectivity that both the orchards and the morphology of the facilities have, so common spaces are shared, such as kitchen, living room or galleries.
