A simple restoration was not considered sufficient to meet the requirements that the museum demanded. Thus, a series of roofs were designed that link the different building bodies together, allowing the Museum to be covered under cover without losing contact with the interior garden. Through these operations, the whole complex is organized incorporating a new order that is superimposed on the arbitrariness with which the existing buildings seemed to be arranged. The character of these roofs allows them to be juxtaposed with the existing buildings and, on the other hand, to make the vegetation and the transparencies that are produced the argument for the new image that the Museum must offer to the city.
