Agriculture has been an important factor in forming urban identity, and has evolved along with the development of urban space from the past, but it has been pushed out by modern development. If you note the origin of agriculture, the culture expressed from the terra, it is possible to transit to cultural space with leisure, health, and housing.
The Wangsipri orbit site is one of the rural landscape of the city that was destroyed by the expansion of the city. It was the only medium that was responsible for not only the transportation of resources in the center of Seoul and the suburbs of the past but also the leisure and rest of the city people. The traces of abolished motorcycles due to the changes in industrial structure and daily life remain partly in the form of villages built on them, and now they cause the deterioration of the local society by causing physical, social and cultural breaks with surrounding areas have. Based on the boundary and cyclical concept embedded in the site, an agricultural platform is designed on the site. Participants include individuals from various groups, groups ranging from agriculture to research. The program divides the program into three equal parts according to the surrounding situation, and rotates the intermediate axis to secure the open space. Rotating voids work with public programs embedded in the building, providing the possibility to spontaneously expand the platform spatially. Vertically, production, sharing, consumption, and residence activities are conducted across the platform in the order of [commerce] - [education, culture] - [residence]. It is expected that the two villages that were disconnected through the open space composition could be connected physically and culturally. It maintains the property of the past linear urban space, and also observes the possibility that the open space created by the rotation can cause activation with the surrounding area.
