Housing ensemble with 4 buildings sits in the contact zone of single family houses and residential towers from mid-seventies. Our proposal tries – both in terms of size and type – to mediate between the two, gathering them around a semi-private yard. Buildings themselves contain three maisonette-like apartments each with richly designed outer spaces.

Reading on the treetops: The library is placed in a park on the border of a wide avenue that covers the railway network in continuity with the park, visually linked to the large trees. On its opposite side the main façade is a continuous lattice that builds up the park’s limit with the city.

The project consists in the transformation of 3 social housing’s buildings of 530 dwellings.
Built in the early 60’s, they needed a renovation after their demolition has been ruled out. The transformation of the dwellings full occupied, starts from the interior, to give them new qualities: more space, more light, more view, and upgrade the facilities.

The new Main Library in Oslo is an open and intriguing building in which you are constantly invited around the next corner, to discover and engage in all the activities the modern library has to offer. The main concept of the building is a system of interlocking diagonal atriums, light shafts, that connect the floors into a continuous vertical public space.
